The Proof
Straight off customer projects and our yard — no stock photos, no staging. This is what shows up on your trailer.

A lot of quarries use explosives to break rock loose. Blasting sends shockwaves through the whole ledge and leaves tiny cracks — microfractures — hidden inside the stone. You can't see them on delivery day, but water finds them, freezes, and pries the stone apart winter after winter. We extract every block mechanically instead, working it free from the ledge without explosives. No shockwaves, no microfractures — just solid stone that stays solid, which is exactly why our limestone tests at 12,820 PSI with only 0.3% absorption.
Why Sunset Stone
Most stone changes hands three times before it reaches your job. Ours changes hands once — from our loader to your trailer. That's how the price stays honest and the answers come from people who actually cut the rock.
We own the ledge
Quarried in Wamego, Kansas and milled at our own yard — never blasted, always extracted mechanically. If a stone isn't right, it never leaves.
20+ years on the iron
Our operators have decades on the machines. Consistent bed depths, square faces, and pallets that stack the way the picture promised.
Freight is our problem, not yours
We price delivery to your zip up front and dispatch trucks nationwide every week. One call covers stone AND shipping.
Track every load online
